First Steps is a non-competitive, instructional and development program for all DOD children ages 3-5. Register at JBSA-Lackland Youth Center, building 8420 on Selfridge Ave., Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Parents must attend the orientation on Feb. 21, 6:30 p.m. at the Youth Center gym. The season runs Feb. 1 to April 11. First Steps teaches fundamentals of soccer in harmony with the gross motor movements of preschool and early school-age children. Join the 100-Ton Club on February 14th from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Rambler Fitness Center. You must lift 100 tons of weight on any free weight or plate loaded machine in one day to become a member.

Stop by the front desk and pick up your 100-ton log book to track the amount of weights you've lifted. If you reach your goal, turn in your log book to the front desk and become a member of the magnificent Rambler 100-Ton Club and earn a t-shirt. The JBSA-Lackland Youth Center is hosting a basketball clinic for youth ages 5-8 from 4:30-6 p.m. and for ages 9-14 from 6-7:30 p.m. Register from Jan. 2-31 at the Youth Center's front desk.
