Boating Safety Classes

All Outdoor Recreation Centers require a Boaters Safety Course certificate from Texas Parks and Wildlife in order for customers to rent their boats.

Online courses can be taken at boaterexam.com, Boat-ed.com, BOATsmartexam.com, BoatUS.org and iLearnToBoat.com.

The Kayak and Canoe safety course is required for non-powered boating equipment. Go to boaterexam.com/paddling/, or patrons can watch the video at Outdoor Recreation.
