The School Liaison Program kicks off its 11th annual Build-A-Backpack Program to provide backpacks full of school supplies for local military and community kids in need. Our goal is to give the children of military and local community families the opportunity to star t school with all the supplies they need to be successful. A completed backpack can be donated on July 19-30.

Get social with us for Social Wellness month this July! Register your team, grab your phone and join the hunt. There will be three scavenger hunts in three weeks. Each week registered teams receive 20 tasks to complete before the next Thursday. Locations scattered across JBSA Fort Sam Houston. Participants post photos on Instagram with their team’s hashtag and #jbsagetsocial to show completion. Bonus points awarded for likes and comments. Teams with the most points per week and the most points overall will be recognized.

Are you a competitor? Challenge yourself or a co-worker to compete in this fun indoor triathlon! This challenge is set to push and inspire gym goers of all levels and abilities. First Steps teaches the basic fundamentals of soccer to children ages 3-5 years old in a non-game/team format. Parents are required to participate as an extension of the instructor. Come to the JBSA- Fort Sam Houston METC Fitness Center and be part of our Elliptical Mile Challenge this August. You can participate at any normal operating hours. Each competitor will try to complete as many miles as possible. Mileage will be tracked by the fitness staff. Minimum resistance level is 5.0.
