The Saddle Club features two lighted riding arenas, a round pen and access to trails located behind the stables.

The LAK Saddle Club is privately owned and not open
to the public.

Quality Facilities

Proudly serving the Lackland community for more than 30 years, the Saddle Club is a family friendly, self-care boarding facility. They offer quality accommodations and amenities for your horse at a fraction of the cost you would pay to board off base. The 24-hour facility features stalls with outside runs, mare/gelding pastures and tack and feed rooms.

Parties

The Equestrian Center’s spacious covered deck is also available for birthday or organizational day celebrations. Carriage rides are also available to customers!

Riding and/or Therapy

We have horses available to ride or just “visit.” Come meet our government horses and mules – bring carrots or apples – their favorite treats. Get to know the horses that live on post and provide equine therapy for our military members, their families and guests.

Boarding, Trail rides, Lessons, Summer Camp, Pony rides

Boarding (active-duty military, retirees, veterans, DOD employees) in a self care facility, featuring covered arena with fans and lights, jump arena, dressage arena, round pen, hot walker, covered wash rack, tack room and beautiful trails on post/along Salado Creek.

Trail Rides – by reservation only, led by trail guide, therefore experience is not necessary. Riders must be  at least 54″ tall, weigh no more than 200 lbs and be able to manage the horse themselves.

Pony Rides – reservation suggested, but not always required – parent led ride for children that don’t meet the Trail Ride requirements. Lessons are available for all levels and taught by qualified instructors in both English and Western disciplines. Summer Horsemanship Camps are offered for ages 7-17.
