Adopt a Grandparent

FSH School Age Care

JBSA Fort Sam Houston School-Age Care Program is collecting donations from Nov. 1 to Dec. 15. In partnership with Serenity Oak Assisted Living and Memory Care to give back to the community. All donations accepted. Please ensure items are new - no used items will be accepted. Children will deliver gifts and visit with residents on Dec. 22 from 2-4 p.m. For more information and a list of acceptable items to donate, call (210) 2211-5151.

After School Bowling Special

The Fort Sam Houston Bowling Center is running an after school bowling special on Thursdays and Fridays from 4-7 p.m., now until the end of the school year. Cost is $10 per person and includes one game of bowling, shoe rental and a hot dog combo. This special is open to all DOD ID cardholder students and their families. School Age Care provides a safe, enriching and supervised environment for children and youth during out-of-school time. Accredited by the Council On Accreditation (COA), and as members of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and 4-H, we provide your child with optimal program opportunities. We maintain an atmosphere that encourages flexibility and allows freedom of choice within appropriate guidelines. We strive to reinforce family values and emphasize the uniqueness of each child by promoting positive attitudes and validating self-worth. We accomplish this mission through a devoted team of trained professionals guided by a curriculum specialist and program managers to ensure child development strategies are implemented for the growth and development of children in a safe, happy, and caring environment. The School Age Programs include: Before and After School School’s half-days or full-out Summer Day Camp Our before and after school program provides breakfast and an afternoon snack and on full days and summer day camp lunch is provided. JBSA Fort Sam Houston Youth Programs has opened registration for youth ages 5-13 for only $60. Register through CYPBMS. Seeds of Kindness • Celebrating Earth Day April 22 • 4:30-5:30 p.m. Earth Day is a great opportunity to show our appreciation for our planet and take steps to protect it. Roll up your sleeves and get ready to plant “seeds of kindness” in decorated posts. Youth will paint a pot and plant their seeds to share with family and friends to promote kindness. First Steps T-Ball Registration (Fort Sam)

First Steps T-ball Registration Register now for Spring Session Children ages 5 and younger learn the fundamentals of baseball in a non-competitive/team format developmental program. Parents are required to participate as an extension of the instructor. The cost is $40- per child. Team Kickball Registration JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Youth Programs May 1 to June 3 Dust off your running shoes and get ready to play Kickball! Kickball is a game that was invented in the United States of America in the early half of the twentieth century. Containing elements of soccer and softball but most of baseball, the object in a kickball match is for one team to score more runs than the other, thus winning the game! Registration is required through CYPBMS by June 1. Current physical and immunization record required. Spaces limited. Kickball season will run June 22 through Aug 3.
