Become one of the infected at the 2018 JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Zombie Run, November 17! Volunteer to be turned into one of the walking dead and "infect" the runners on the course or be one of the creators and volunteer to be a zombie make-up artist. Everybody is invited to participate in this fun but challenging event at the Rambler Fitness Center. Each participant must complete the 15-mile treadmill/indoor track walk/run, 30-mile stationary bike ride and five-mile row in order to complete the challenge.

Beast Mode is a high-intensity interval training program with intermittent exercises, sprint interval and cardiovascular exercise strategy alternating different real life functional movements using strength for short periods of intense anaerobic activity with less intense recovery periods. Parents can be worry free to enjoy themselves as their children ages 6 weeks to 12 years are provided snacks and entertainment with activities and games. The cost is $25 per child with a multiple child discount or free with a Give Parents a Break referral. Preregistration is required and a minimum number of participants is required. The season to enjoy all of the water recreation activities like boating and swimming will not be around much longer so come out to stay at the park in one of our many lodging facilities and give the family one last chance to make summer memories. Parents bring their kids to enjoy the Membership Free Zone from Sept. 10-15. During this period, there is no membership needed to participate in clubs, activities or open recreation. Rambler 120 is designed as a team event to build esprit de corps among units, improve fitness levels and foster an enjoyment of the outdoors. Team members compete in a 22-mile bike ride, six-mile run, two-mile rafting trip and a mystery event announced the day of the race. The event is held at the Joint base San Antonio Recreation Park at Canyon Lake on October 13th at 7:30 a.m. Early bird registration is available until September 14th. Participants can join individually or as teams of 4 or 8.

Calling all actors, singers, dancers and gymnasts! JBSA-Fort Sam Houston will be having a casting call for the upcoming "Aladdin Jr." Auditions for Girls and Boys, Grades 4-9 (lower and higher grades may be considered). The Randolph Club Championship has been rescheduled for October 20-21 due to weather.

Who is the best golfer at Randolph Oaks? The club championship consists of three groups (Championship, Open and Senior). The number of flights in the Open and Senior division depends on participation. All flights are paid net and gross so verifiable handicaps are required. Championship runs from Oct. 20-21, tee times beginning at 7 a.m. Cost is $70 for members and $100 for nonmembers.
