Glow in the Park

MacArthur Parade Field Stanley & Worth Roads, Fort Sam Houston, TX

Put on your neon war paint and come light up the night at the JBSA Glow in the Park Run on Feb. 26 at 5 p.m.  Don’t worry about being the best or fastest…This event is JUST FOR FUN! Come run, walk or dance through a myriad of crazy lighting effects and themed glow stations on this illuminated nighttime course. Warm up with a high energy Zumba® dance session and Orange Theory fitness experts before the race begins at approximately 7:30 p.m. Remember, the goal for this event is just to have FUN!  After you victoriously reach the finish line, you can show off your dance moves and your glow spirit at a celebratory dance party while enjoying some food, beverages, games and fun. FSH Golf Course

Registration is required by emailing [email protected] with your name, the number of people in your party and a phone number. The movie starts at 8 PM, price is $10 per person and a snack pack is provided. This is an outside event on the Golf Course greens. Bring blankets and chairs. Not outside food allowed. Lakin’ it Easy

Recreation Park @ Canyon Lake

The annual JBSA Lakin' it Easy event is coming up on May 7th from 10 AM to 3 PM. There will be water sport activities, boat tours, food trucks, water slides, games and archery! This FREE event is open to all DoD ID Card Holders. For more information, call (210) 652-5763.

Build-a-Backpack

Joint Base San Antonio

The School Liaison Program kicks off its 11th annual Build-A-Backpack program to provide backpacks full of school supplies for local military and community kids in need. The goal is to give the children of military and local community families the opportunity to start school with all the supplies they need to be successful. A completed backpack can be donated on July 18-29. For more information on this program and a list of supplies, please contact your local CYES Liaison. U.S. Army North Concert Series

Fort Sam Houston Splash Pad

Come out and enjoy the U.S. Army North Concert Series presented by the 78th Army Band featuring Liberty Vibes, a latin band. Join us in Watkins Terrace at the Fort Sam Houston Splash Pad! This event us open to DoD ID cardholders and their guests. The Fort Sam Houston Splash Pad is located on Watkins Blvd. next to the Ed Parker Youth Center. No seating will be provided, please bring blankets or chairs to enjoy the show!
