JBSA Fitness Centers

For those interested in gaining access, effective March 7 you will be allowed to register at the front desk of the participating Fitness & Sports Centers (LAK-Warhawk, Chaparral, Gateway, Chapman, Kelly; RND-Rambler; FSH-Jimmy Brought, Camp Bullis). Registration applies to all those interested users, new and returning. You must be at least 18 years of age to register. After hours access will be available on March 21. If you have any questions, please see one of your Fitness & Sports Center team members at the front desk.

2022 National Military Basketball Tournament

LAK Fitness Centers

JBSA-Lackland Warhawk & Chaparral Fitness Centers will host this tournament. The Top 20 military varsity basketball teams compete for the Military National Championship. METC Monthly Fitness Challenge May 1-31 JBSA-Fort Sam Houston METC Fitness Center Join us during May to try to complete this fitness challenge. This is open to all eligible METC Fitness Center patrons. Week 1: Most miles run/walked Week 2: Most weight lifted Week 3: Most push-ups completed Week 4: Most free throws made in two minutes Interested patrons should sign up at the Front Desk. Try-a-Tri

FSH Jimmy Brought Fitness Center

Ladies and gentlemen may try one or all triathlon events in the month of May. All events are free and open to all DOD ID cardholders. On May 8 and 9, start small with Triathlon #1 consisting of a 200-meter swim, 3-mile bike ride and 1-mile run. Take the next step May 15 and 16 with Triathlon #2  consisting of a 400-meter swim, 5-mile bike ride and a 2-mile run. Move up to Triathlon #3 on May 22 and 23 consisting of 500-meter swim, 10-mile bike ride and a 2.5-mile run. Take the giant leap with Triathlon #4 on May 29 and 30 consisting of 750 meter swim, 10-mile bike ride and a 5-mile run. The bike and run portions may be completed indoors or outdoors. Bench Press Competition

Five-Mile Challenge

Five-Mile Challenge | April 2-26 Monday - Friday | 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Central Post Fitness Center Patrons can use treadmills, spin bikes or rowing machines to complete this challenge. Each patron is to make sure a staff member records their time and distance. Prizes will be given to the person with the longest distance on each piece of equipment at the end of the month. Monthly Fitness Challenge

Patrons are invited to come out to see who can bench the most weight. There will be categories for men and women but no weight class. Each patron is to make sure a staff member verifies the weight pressed each time. The man and woman who presses the most weight will be awarded a prize at the end of the month.
