Ed Parker Youth Programs offers specialty camps tailored to interest in STEM education, science, sports, cooking, adventure, photography and theater arts for only $50 per youth, per camp. Family Skate Night Aug. 23 • 5-7 PM Fort Sam Houston Youth Programs Bring the family out to the Skate Park and join us for Skate Night. Please bring your own skates as our inventory is limited. Flag Football and Cheerleading Registration Register from Aug. 1 - Sep. 6 JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Youth Programs It is time to snap, check down and pass for a touchdown! JBSA Fort Sam Houston Youth Sports Program is ready for ages 5-12 to participate in flag football and cheerleading. Registration runs Aug. 1 to Sept. 6 through CYPBMS. National Chocolate Milkshake Day Sept. 12 • 4:30-5:30 p.m. National Chocolate Milkshake Day brings chocolate and ice cream lovers together and is without a doubt, a treat day. Forget the calories for just one day and enjoy a sweet, tall, thick and delicious chocolate milkshake with your friends! Mix and match ice cream flavors with all your favorite toppings or try something new and pay homage to one of America’s favorite past-times! National Taco Day Celebration Oct. 4 • 4:30-5:30 p.m. It doesn’t have to be Tuesday to enjoy your favorite soft or hard-shelled tortilla treat. The history of tacos predates the arrival of Europeans in Mexico. Anthropological evidence shows the native people living in the lake region of the Valley of Mexico traditionally ate tacos filled with small fish. It’s unclear why the word taco was used to describe this native food. One suggested origin is the word taco, which means stuff or to stuff. For more information, call (210) 221-3502.

Requests will be taken until full. Fees are based on total family income. The Thanksgiving Camp is held Nov. 25-27. Nov. 29 is the “AETC Family Day” and space will be offered on a reservation-only basis. Pre-Teen Lock In Nov. 15-16 • 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Friday night is the perfect time to meet up with your friends for Marvel vs. DC Pre-Teen Lock-In for youth ages 9-12. There will be a variety of activities, food, a field trip and lots of fun! Wear your favorite Marvel or DC shirt or costume. The registration fee is $35 and is due in CYPBMS by Nov. 12.
