RND Youth Programs

Keystone Haunted House Oct. 30-31 • 6–9 p.m. Keystone will host their first haunted house at the Randolph Youth Center with lots of scares, thrills and screams. The entrance fee for the Haunted House is $5 per person and is open to all active members of Randolph Youth Programs and their families.

Spook a Par Four-Person Scramble Oct. 31 • 8 a.m. Shotgun Start Join us for this spooky golf tournament at the JBSA-Lackland Golf Course and wear your best Halloween attire. The cost is $30 per golfer plus greens and cart rental fees. The fee includes lunch and prizes. There will also be a prize for the winner of the costume contest. Lost Maples Hike

LOST MAPLES FOLIAGE HIKE Nov. 2   Did the leaves in your yard go from green to brown this year? Join us in exploring some of the most beautiful fall foliage Texas has to offer! We are headed to Lost Maples State Park to embark on a four-mile hike along the Sabinal River. This moderate to challenging hike will give you views of red, orange, and yellow maple leaves that will put the trees in your yard to shame! The cost of this program is $30. Patrons of all ages are welcome (minors must be accompanied by an adult or guardian). This program includes roundtrip transportation from Lackland Outdoor Recreation (start to be determined) to Lost Maples State Park with a guided interpretive hike covering four miles of the park. Kayak & Paddle Board Class

Nov. 2 | Dec. 7 Please join us at the JBSA Recreation Park at Canyon Lake at the Hancock Cove Beach for a two-hour class on kayaks and paddle board safety and operation. This class is required in order to rent kayaks and paddle boards. After completion, each guest will receive a certification card. This card must be presented each time you rent the equipment. The cost for the class is $20 per person. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a sponsor during the class and during equipment rental. STAR GAZING November 2 | 8 p.m. December 7 | 7 p.m. See the solar system and beyond like never before through powerful telescopes. This time of year we should have excellent views of many of the planets in our solar system as well as constellations and deep space objects.
