Kayak & Paddle Board Class

April 26 Please join us at the JBSA Recreation Park at Canyon Lake at the Hancock Cove Beach for a two-hour class on kayaks and paddle board safety and operation. This class is required in order to rent kayaks and paddle boards. After completion, each guest will receive a certification card. This card must be presented each time you rent the equipment. The cost for the class is $20 per person. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a sponsor during the class and during equipment rental. Army Ten-Miler Qualifier

Army Ten-Miler Qualifier May 3 • 7 a.m. • 2 Hr Cut Off Time Start and Finish at Central Post Fitness Center Open to all DoD ID cardholders, but only active-duty military assigned to JBSA may qualify for the JBSA Ten Miler Team Ten runners will qualify to participate on the two JBSA Ten Miler Teams. Team qualifiers are expected to: Attend semi-regular team meetings and training sessions as programmed by the team captain through race day on October 12 Commit time to train a minimum of 25 miles per week through race day Be assigned to a JBSA unit through November 2025 $40 Registration Fee Register at METC Fitness Center or Jimmy Brought Fitness Center Registration deadline is April 23 Each runner will receive a T-shirt and a medal   For more information, email Cody Hildreth at [email protected].
