Murph Workout Challenge

LAK Chapman Fitness Center

The JBSA-Lackland Chapman Fitness Center has the Murph Workout Challenge every Monday. This includes a 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 body squats and a 1-mil cool down run. Don't forget that this must all be completed wearing a 200 lb. vest or body armor. This workout is named after Navy Lt. Michael Murphy who was killed in Afghanistan on June 28, 2005. He was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.

Run Off the Pounds Challenge

Everyone is invited to compete in the Challenge of the Month! Participants log their miles using one or more of the select cardio machines; treadmill, spin bike, stair stepper or rower. Ornament Painting Class

Gateway Cup Golf Championship

This tournament is a triple point two-day individual stroke play championship. Entry fee is $30 and covers prizes and lunch on the second day. This event is open to all, however players must have played in at least four events throughout the year to compete for end of year prize payouts.
