Teen Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Teens, ages 13-18 can show off their spooky skills for a chance to win a prize. Pumpkins can be picked up at Lackland Youth Programs from Oct. 18-22 and dropped off by Oct. 28. Murph Workout Challenge

LAK Chapman Fitness Center

The JBSA-Lackland Chapman Fitness Center has the Murph Workout Challenge every Monday. This includes a 1-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 body squats and a 1-mil cool down run. Don't forget that this must all be completed wearing a 200 lb. vest or body armor. This workout is named after Navy Lt. Michael Murphy who was killed in Afghanistan on June 28, 2005. He was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.
