FSH School Age Care

School Age Care provides a safe, enriching and supervised environment for children and youth during out-of-school time. Accredited by the Council On Accreditation (COA), and as members of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and 4-H, we provide your child with optimal program opportunities. We maintain an atmosphere that encourages flexibility and allows freedom of choice within appropriate guidelines. We strive to reinforce family values and emphasize the uniqueness of each child by promoting positive attitudes and validating self-worth. We accomplish this mission through a devoted team of trained professionals guided by a curriculum specialist and program managers to ensure child development strategies are implemented for the growth and development of children in a safe, happy, and caring environment. The School Age Programs include: Before and After School School’s half-days or full-out Summer Day Camp Our before and after school program provides breakfast and an afternoon snack and on full days and summer day camp lunch is provided. 502d Force Support Squadron Presents Central Post 2023 December Events Tire Flip Competition Mon/Wed/Fri | 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. The challenge is to flip the tire as many times as you can in a two-minute time frame. Before each tire flip, a staff member must be present for safety & confirmation of the number of tire flips. This contest will have categories for men and women. The person with the most tire flips at the end of the month will receive a prize. Two Mile Cardio Challenge Monday - Friday | 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. Patrons can use treadmills, spin bikes, ellipticals or rowing machines to test their cardio endurance & to complete this challenge. A staff member must record the time and distance. Prizes will go to the person with the longest distance on each piece of equipment at the end of the month. Events are open to all DOD ID cardholders. Fort Sam Houston Will Be Offering The Payne Stewart Youth Golf Program. We will be conducting 3 classes that include 5 sessions (once per week). There will be male and female teams. Letter of intent and coaches meeting take place Jan. 3 at 1 PM at the METC Fitness & Sports Center. Games begin Jan. 9 at 1 PM Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Units may have more than one team and may submit male team(s) and female team(s). Cadre must be present at all games. We are excited to introduce Lackland ODR's newest and coolest activity... Archery Tag! Similar to Paintball, but without the welts and bruises, Archery Tag is the perfect team-on-team competition for your next squadron event! Teams of up to 20 people at a time are invited to experience this exhilarating game located at the Lackland ODR Paintball Course. You will duck, dodge, and shoot foam-tipped arrows at your opponents until the last team standing wins! Rates start at $200 for groups with up to 10 participants. Groups of 11-20 cost $300. 502d Force Support Squadron Presents Camp Bullis Archery Fun At JBSA-Camp Bullis Outdoor Recreation Center (ORC), Bldg. 6215 Archery Range Thursday-Monday • 8 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. The Outdoor Recreation Center offers an outdoor archery range with targets ranging from 10 to 60 yards at 10-yard intervals. The targets at the range are crossbow rated. The Range at Camp Bullis is 100% ID Check. All guests must report to the ORC and present a DoD ID card.Guests must be in the same vehicle as the sponsor. Daily Pass: $5 Annual Pass: $40 Family Of Two: $65 (Each Additional Family Member Is $5) 3D Archery Shoot January 6-7 & February 3-4 • 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The 3D Archery Range consists of a course with 30 life-like animal targets such as bears, black panthers, deer, alligators, etc. The targets are set up between 5 & 55 yards at various distances. Traditional (Long Bows and Recurve Bows) and Compound Bows are allowed but no Crossbows. The ORC has Recurve Bows available to rent for $15 each.
