Red Cross Babysitting Training May 18 • 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. JBSA-Lackland Youth Programs (Transportation to and from the training site will be provided from both Fort Sam Houston and Randolph Youth Programs.) Youth Programs is offering Red Cross Babysitting Training at all JBSA Youth Programs. Cost is $40 for youth ages 11 and older. Training will cover basic care for infants and children, basic first aid, child behavior, age-appropriate activities, emergency protocols, professionalism and leadership. License to Carry License to Carry a Handgun Class (LTC) Jan. 11 & 25 and Feb. 8 & 22 • 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. License to Carry a Handgun classes are held at Camp Bullis Outdoor Recreation. Eligible students must: Be at least 18 years old to register for the class and to apply for the license. Be familiar with their firearm - no first-time shooters. Meet federal qualifications to purchase a handgun. The cost of the class is $80. 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Theater May 10-26 The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a musical comedy with music and lyrics by William Finn, with a book written by Rachel Sheinkin, conceived by Rebecca Feldman with additional material by Jay Reiss. The show centers on a fictional spelling bee set in Putnam Valley Middle School. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a fast-paced crowd pleaser and an instant theatre patron favorite. Come join in the fun at the Fort Sam Theatre, building 2270. Reservations are not necessary for DOD ID cardholders. Civilian reservations must be made no later than Tuesday at 5 p.m. to gain gate access for the weekend shows. Tickets available for purchase one-hour prior to show time. Archery Range Thurs. - Mon. • 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Outdoor Recreation offers an outdoor archery range with targets ranging from 10 to 60 yards at 10-yard intervals. The targets at the range are crossbow rated. A daily pass is $5 The cost for an annual pass is $6 and $75 for a family of two. Each additional family member is $5. A DoD ID cardholder can sponsor up to two non-DoD ID cardholders for $5 per person. The Range at Camp Bullis is 100% ID check. all guests must report to ODR and present a DoD ID card.
