School-Age Care Summer Camp Registration May 28 to August 23 JBSA School Age Care Programs JBSA offers Summer Camp at three accredited School-Age Care Programs. Patrons not enrolled currently in School-Age Care Programs can request a slot for camp by logging on to Military Child Care.com and selecting the preferred location. Requests will be taken until full. Current enrolled families can contact the facility their child is enrolled in to secure their slots. Fees are based on total family income. Trail Rides

FSH Equestrian Center

Trail Rides at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Equestrian Center. By Appointment only/Reservations required. No Experience Required. $30 per person for DoD ID cardholders, ages 7 & older. (Adults must accompany children younger than age 13). Riders must be at least 4 feet, 6 inches tall and weigh no more than 200 pounds All trail rides are guided at a walking pace Check-in at the office at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time Open-toed or dress shoes are not permitted for riding; boots or closed-toed shoes are required; tennis/running shoes may be worn Riding double is not permitted All riding and safety instructions are given before riders depart Trail rides may be terminated if a rider fails to follow trail guide instructions Trail rides will be cancelled for safety reasons to include but not limited to heat or heat index in excess of 100° F, lightening, rain or mud If you would like to set up a weekday trail ride, the cost is $40. Canyon Lake Annual Pass

Recreation Park @ Canyon Lake

Purchase a Joint Base San Antonio Recreation Park at Canyon Lake annual pass for $100. Buy one and enjoy the lake all year. This pass gets you into the both Sunny Side and Hancock Cove sides of the facility. Otherwise, the daily entry fee for the park is $15 per visit, per vehicle. Annual passes include a vehicle and boat/ trailer pass and are valid for one year from date of issue. You can also buy a spousal pass for an additional $35 as long as they are over 18 and have a valid DoD ID card. For more information, call (830) 226-5357.

Team Kickball Registration JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Youth Programs May 1 to June 3 Dust off your running shoes and get ready to play Kickball! Kickball is a game that was invented in the United States of America in the early half of the twentieth century. Containing elements of soccer and softball but most of baseball, the object in a kickball match is for one team to score more runs than the other, thus winning the game! Registration is required through CYPBMS by June 1. Current physical and immunization record required. Spaces limited. Kickball season will run June 22 through Aug 3. License to Carry Classes

Camp Bullis Outdoor Recreation

License to Carry License to Carry a Handgun Class (LTC) Jan. 11 & 25 and Feb. 8 & 22 • 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. License to Carry a Handgun classes are held at Camp Bullis Outdoor Recreation. Eligible students must: Be at least 18 years old to register for the class and to apply for the license. Be familiar with their firearm - no first-time shooters. Meet federal qualifications to purchase a handgun. The cost of the class is $80.
