Ed Parker Youth Programs offers specialty camps tailored to interest in STEM education, science, sports, cooking, adventure, photography and theater arts for only $50 per youth, per camp. Keep youth engaged this summer. Check with the Youth Programs for specific camps age groups. Register through CYPBMS. Deadline to register is Wednesday the week before camp start date. July Events at JBSA-Lackland Youth Programs E-Sports, Come in and Play Basketball July 10 • 3:30-6:30 PM Bring in your personal gear or use ours to participate in basketball with a two-round format. Round one is gaming basketball. Round two is a pick-up game of three-on-three half-court basketball. This event is for ages 9-18 and is free. Parents are welcome and we may also bring out some of Lackland's first responders to take on the teens. Missoula Performing Arts Camp July 22-26 • Free event Missoula Performing Arts Camp is back again for another season. Ages 5-18 are invited to experience the magic of live performance and release their inner artistic stage presence. Auditions will be held on Monday, practice schedules will be assigned for characters and the play will be held on Friday. Get ready for The Pied Piper! The show is open to all DOD ID cardholders. Central Post July Events The Fort Sam Houston Central Post offers two great challenges further your efforts toward your New Years resolution. Bench Press Competition • Free July 1-31 • Mon., Wed., and Fri. • 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Patrons bench press the most weight during the month in categories for men and women. A staff member must verify weight lifted. The winners in each category are awarded a prize at the end of the month. Five-Mile Cardio Challenge • Free July 1-31 • Mon.-Fri. • 5-6 p.m. Challenge yourself on treadmills, spin bikes, ellipticals and rowers for distance. A staff member must verify distance completed. Prizes awarded to the contestant with the longest distance on each piece of equipment at the end of the month. Events are open to all DoD ID cardholders. For more information, call (210) 221-3593.

Elliptical Mile Challenge (METC)

Elliptical Mile Challenge August • Normal duty hours JBSA-Fort Sam Houston METC Fitness Center METC Fitness Center patrons complete as many miles as they can on an elliptical machine at a minimum resistance level of 5.0. Sign up at the front desk. Place completed miles in the binder at the front desk. The patron with the highest mileage will be awarded a prize. Open to all DoD cardholders ages 18 and older. Two-Person Team Biathlon Aug. 3 • 7:30 AM JBSA-Randolph Heritage Park Get a teammate, tighten your laces, and head to Heritage Park for this free two-person team biathlon. 3D Archery Shoot at Camp Bullis ODR

3D Archery Shoot Jan. 4 & 5 and Feb. 1 & 2 JBSA-Camp Bullis Outdoor Recreation Center 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The 3D Archery Range features 30 life-like animal targets including bears, black panthers, deer, and alligators. Targets are set up at various distances between 5 & 55 yards. 3D archery is open to the General Public. Traditional (Long Bows and Recurve Bows( and Compound Bows are allowed but No Crossbows. Camp Bullis ODR has Recurve Bows available to rent for $20 each. Registration is 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants may start the course as soon as they register. Cost is: $5 for E1-E4, active-duty or medically retired $15 for ages 13 and older $5 for youth ages 12 and younger
