Youth Programs is offering a Red Cross Babysitting Training at JBSA Lackland for $40 for youth ages 11+. Training will cover basic care for infants and children, basic first aid, child behavior, age-appropriate activities, emergency protocols, professionalism, and leadership. Hill Country Holiday Shopping & Lighting Tour

Holiday Shopping Tour Join ITT on this special shopping tour starting in Fredericksburg and ending at the San Marcos Outlet stores. Transportation is provided with pick-up at JBSA-Lackland on Dec. 2 with a call time of 8:30 a.m and at JBSA-Randolph with a call time of 9:30 a.m. Transportation departs at 10 am. and returns around 10 p.m. Hill Country Holiday Lighting Tour On Dec. 9, join ITT on a trip through the hill country. Transportation departs JBSA-Lackland and JBSA-Randolph at 10 a.m. The trip makes stops in four hill country towns starting with Fredericksburg for shopping and lunch; Burnet for a live nativity and the Burnet market; Marble Falls for the Walkway of lights and Johnson City at the Pedernales Electric Co-op returning to San Antonio around 11 p.m. Both tours cost $60 each per person per tour. Indoor Marathon

RND Rambler Fitness Center

This is a self-monitored program based on the honor system. Participants attempt to complete 26.2 miles running/walking within one week. Participants may pick up their cards to record their mileage at the front desk. Prizes will be awarded to those that complete the marathon. For more information, call (210) 652-7263.

Winter Basketball Clinic

Joe Hall Memorial Basketball Tournament

Join us at the 48th Annual Joe Hall Varsity Military Basketball Tournament and enjoy some very high-level basketball games. Games will be played at the Warhawk and Chaparral Fitness Centers. If you would like to enter a team it is $400 per team. The tournament is free and open to all DoD ID cardholders.

Ugly Sweater 5k Run/Walk

Get ahead of your New Year’s resolutions to get fit. The METC Fitness Center hosts this free event with showtime at 7:30 a.m. at the Pershing Ball Fields, building 3212. This event is open to all DOD ID card holders and their guests ages 16 and older. Transportation provided for students, volunteers and other participants. Pick-up and drop-off at the Aquatic Center’s parking lot starting at 7:15 a.m. Prizes awarded to the first and second place runners.
