License to Carry Classes

Camp Bullis Outdoor Recreation

License to Carry License to Carry a Handgun Class (LTC) Jan. 11 & 25 and Feb. 8 & 22 • 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. License to Carry a Handgun classes are held at Camp Bullis Outdoor Recreation. Eligible students must: Be at least 18 years old to register for the class and to apply for the license. Be familiar with their firearm - no first-time shooters. Meet federal qualifications to purchase a handgun. The cost of the class is $80. Youth Home Alone and Babysitting Classes

Home Alone Class Feb. 5 • 5:30-6:30 p.m. This class gives youth, ages 10-18 the basic tools and knowledge to confidently stay at home alone! This is a free class. For more information, call (210) 671-2388. Youth Babysitting Course Feb. 22 • 8:30 a.m. to noon Youth Programs is offering the Red Cross Babysitters Course for youth ages 11 and older. Learn about care for infants and children, basic first aid, child behavior, emergency protocols, professionalism, leadership concepts, and age-appropriate activities.  The cost is $40 for active members. Sign up in CYPBMS by Feb. 19. Only 10 spots will be offered.

Archery Range Family Pass: $75 for the first two members and $5 for each additional member Gun Range Family Pass: $120 for the first two members and $10 for each additional member Combo Family Pass: $130 for the first two members and $15 for each additional member E4 and Below Rates: E4 Archery Range Family Pass: $40 for the first two people & $5 for each additional person E4 Gun Range Family Pass: $50 for the first two people & $5 for each additional person E4 Combo Family Pass: $60 for the first two people & $10 for each additional person Sponsor and dependents must be present with their DoD ID cardholder. JBSA-Lackland Paintball Course

JBSA-Lackland Outdoor Recreation is accepting bookings on their approximately 250-foot paintball course. Mardi Gras Party Feb. 28 • 4-11 p.m. Celebrate Mardi Gras with us in the Lone Star Lounge and listen to some great music by DJ Tony Style. The food special of the night includes fried fish, jambalaya, hush puppies, coleslaw and corn bread. The cost for the food special is $10 for members or $12 for nonmembers.

Trail Run & Coffee

Trail Run and Coffee March 8 ● 8-10 a.m. Step into nature with a 3-mile trail run or walk, followed by refreshing, iced coffee. This is a FREE program. Together we will meet at the Urban Ecology Center at Phil Hardberger Park to stretch at 8 am. Boat Driving Course

Recreation Park @ Canyon Lake

Learn how to drive a boat safely at the JBSA Recreation Park @ Canyon Lake Hancock Cove Marina. This two-hour boat driving course covers boat operation, rules of the water and safety guidelines. This course is open to all DOD ID cardholders. The cost for the class is $60 per person and there are limited spots. To reserve your spot, call (830) 964-3576 or email [email protected]. Participants must be 21 years or older and have completed one of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Boater Safety courses.

Spring Kiddie Bingo and Egg Hunt

Spring Kiddie Bingo and Egg Hunt 8 March 2025.| 10 a.m. to noon These two FREE events will be held at the Parr Club and are open to everyone. The Spring Bunny will be available for photo opportunities at 10 a.m. and Kiddie Bingo starts at 10:30 a.m. The children will be able to play five games for a chance to win prizes. Following Bingo will be our Spring Egg Hunt. Don't forget to bring a basket to hold all your goodies. These events are for children ages 12 and younger. Spring Break Jr. School of Golf

March 10-14 | 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. PGA teaching Pro Charles Bishop is conducting a junior golf school from March 10-14. Children ages 8-15 are invited to participate and learn all aspects of the game. Fundamentals such as stance, grip, and posture will be covered as well as the swing, putting, and chipping strokes. There will be two sessions each day, one from 11 a.m. to noon for ages 8-11 and one from 1-2 p.m. for ages 12-15. The fee is only $90 per participant!!
