School Age Care provides a safe, enriching and supervised environment for children and youth during out-of-school time. Accredited by the Council On Accreditation (COA), and as members of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and 4-H, we provide your child with optimal program opportunities. We maintain an atmosphere that encourages flexibility and allows freedom of choice within appropriate guidelines. We strive to reinforce family values and emphasize the uniqueness of each child by promoting positive attitudes and validating self-worth. We accomplish this mission through a devoted team of trained professionals guided by a curriculum specialist and program managers to ensure child development strategies are implemented for the growth and development of children in a safe, happy, and caring environment. Central Post Fitness Events
502d Force Support Squadron Presents Central Post 2023 December Events Tire Flip Competition Mon/Wed/Fri | 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. The challenge is to flip the tire as many times as you can in a two-minute time frame. Before each tire flip, a staff member must be present for safety & confirmation of the number of tire flips. This contest will have categories for men and women. The person with the most tire flips at the end of the month will receive a prize. Two Mile Cardio Challenge Monday - Friday | 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. Patrons can use treadmills, spin bikes, ellipticals or rowing machines to test their cardio endurance & to complete this challenge. A staff member must record the time and distance. Prizes will go to the person with the longest distance on each piece of equipment at the end of the month. Events are open to all DOD ID cardholders. Fort Sam Houston Will Be Offering The Payne Stewart Youth Golf Program. We will be conducting 3 classes that include 5 sessions (once per week). Camping & Caving Adventure at Caverns of Sonora
Join us as we visit the world’s most beautiful show cave in Sonora, Texas! We will have an opportunity to tour the marvelous cave and learn about its history in the underground classroom. We will end our day at the local tent campsite and spend the night under the stars. The cost of this program is $130. All ages are welcome (minors must be accompanied by an adult or guardian). The program includes roundtrip transportation to and from the Caverns of Sonora, entrance into the showroom and underground classroom, camping permits, some gear, and dinner. JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Bowling Center is taking sign-ups for couples bowling league. Couples may sign-up now at the Bowling Center. Just complete the sign-up sheet on the flyer and turn it in at the counter. The league is held every Friday at 6 p.m. The session runs 1.5 hours. 502d Force Support Squadron Presents Camp Bullis Archery Fun At JBSA-Camp Bullis Outdoor Recreation Center (ORC), Bldg. 6215 Archery Range Thursday-Monday • 8 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. The Outdoor Recreation Center offers an outdoor archery range with targets ranging from 10 to 60 yards at 10-yard intervals. The targets at the range are crossbow rated. The Range at Camp Bullis is 100% ID Check. All guests must report to the ORC and present a DoD ID card.Guests must be in the same vehicle as the sponsor. Daily Pass: $5 Annual Pass: $40 Family Of Two: $65 (Each Additional Family Member Is $5) 3D Archery Shoot January 6-7 & February 3-4 • 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The 3D Archery Range consists of a course with 30 life-like animal targets such as bears, black panthers, deer, alligators, etc. The targets are set up between 5 & 55 yards at various distances. Traditional (Long Bows and Recurve Bows) and Compound Bows are allowed but no Crossbows. The ORC has Recurve Bows available to rent for $15 each.
