July Events at JBSA-Lackland Youth Programs E-Sports, Come in and Play Basketball July 10 • 3:30-6:30 PM Bring in your personal gear or use ours to participate in basketball with a two-round format. Round one is gaming basketball. Round two is a pick-up game of three-on-three half-court basketball. This event is for ages 9-18 and is free. Parents are welcome and we may also bring out some of Lackland's first responders to take on the teens. Missoula Performing Arts Camp July 22-26 • Free event Missoula Performing Arts Camp is back again for another season. Ages 5-18 are invited to experience the magic of live performance and release their inner artistic stage presence. Auditions will be held on Monday, practice schedules will be assigned for characters and the play will be held on Friday. Get ready for The Pied Piper! The show is open to all DOD ID cardholders. Lackland Basketball Camp July 29-Aug. 2 • 5:30-6:30 PM We were awarded an awesome opportunity to get youth, ages 5-18, out and on the court. Volunteer Appreciation Party April 10 • 5-7 PM JBSA-Lackland Youth Programs Join us for food, games, and prizes to take home. Volunteers are the lifeblood of Youth Programs and during April we host our annual appreciation party. Bring the family and allow us to do all the work. We will send out the invites for your RSVP. Home Alone Class (Lackland)

Home Alone Class March 9 • 5-6:30 p.m. JBSA-Lackland Child and Youth Programs holds this free training for all JBSA youth ages 9-18. Training covers basic tools and knowledge to confidently stay home alone. For more information and to sign up, call (210) 671-2388.

Winter Basketball Clinic

Sign up for a foundational skill-building basketball clinic. Coaches will prepare youth for the upcoming basketball season. Sign up in CYPBMS by Nov. 28. Price is $25 per youth. For more information, call (210) 671-2388.

Babysitters Course

LAK Youth Programs

Youth Programs is offering a Red Cross Babysitting Training at JBSA Lackland for $40 for youth ages 11+. Training will cover basic care for infants and children, basic first aid, child behavior, age-appropriate activities, emergency protocols, professionalism, and leadership. Keystone Harvest Celebration Dinner

Do you have an active family profile in CYPBMS? If yes, you are invited to a free holiday dinner prepared by youth leadership club members. Please register in CYPBMS by Nov. 9 to assist in the preparation of meals. If you are not a member of Child and/or Youth Programs, call and we will send you an invite. 3D Archery Clinic

LAK Youth Programs

3D Archery Clinic Nov. 4 • 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sign up today for the archery clinic to learn the basics of two types of bow (recurve and compound). This class is open to all pre-teens, teens, and adults and costs $5 per person. After learning the basics, test your skills on stationary, moving/floating, and 3D targets. Sign up in CYPBMS by Nov. 2 as class size is limited to 20.

Youth Programs Build a Holiday Card

JBSA-Lackland Youth Programs could use some help from some of our youth and their parents to build a 4'x8' wooden holiday card display on Nov. 3. We will finish the card by Nov. 18. Teen Lock In

ALL JBSA youth ages 13-18 are invited to join Youth Programs for a night of fun. The cost for this lock-in is $35 per youth. Transportation will be provided to the lock-in from FSH/RND Youth Programs. Sign up in CYPBMS by Sept. 5 to reserve a slot for a night of fun. Back to School Family Party

Start the school year off right with games, activities, food and a talent show! Show up early to beat the heat and find out what each program has to offer for pre-teens and teens for the new school year. Summer Memories Pre-Teen Lock-In

Have you had a fun-filled summer? Then register for this lock-in to package all that fun into a digital library and create a digital presentation. The cost for this event is $35 per person. JBSA-Lackland Youth Sports is hosting clinics for youth ages 5-12 to build on the fundamentals, skill development, and team play in volleyball and kickball. The cost for each sports clinic is $25. The volleyball clinic takes place July 24-28 and the signup deadline in CYPBMS is July 17. The kickball clinic takes place Aug. 7-11 and the signup deadline in CYPBMS is Aug. 1.
