February Fitness Challenges    

The Fort Sam Houston Central Post offers two great challenges further your efforts toward your New Years resolution.


Bench Press Competition  Free
Feb. 1-29 
• Mon., Wed., and Fri. • 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Patrons are invited to come out to see who can lift the most weight. There will be categories for men and women but no weight class. Each patron is to make sure a staff member verifies the weight lifted. The man and woman who lift the most weight will be awarded a prize at the end of the month.

Five-Mile Cardio Challenge  Free
Mon.-Fri. • 5 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Patrons use treadmills, spin bikes, ellipticals or rowing machines to test their cardio endurance to complete this challenge. Fitness staff must record their time and distance. Prizes awarded at the end of the month to the person with the longest distance on each piece of equipment. For more information, call (210) 221-3593.
