Chaparral Mother's Day Fun Run May 11 • 8 a.m. Celebrate Mother's Day at the Chaparral Fitness Center with a fun run/walk. Awards will be given to the first-place finisher. Pets are welcome. Registration begins May 1. 3-Point Shoot Out May 15 • 11 a.m. Show off your three-point shooting skills in this contest. Each shooter will have a chance to make as many three-point shots as they can in two minutes. The shooter with the most completed shots will be declared the champion and awarded a prize. Registration begins May 1. Father's Day Fun Run June 15 • 8 a.m. Celebrate Father's Day at the Chaparral Fitness Center with a fun run/walk. Awards will be given to the first-place finisher. The league plays on Thursdays at 6:15 p.m. from March 21 to May 23. Team must consist of four bowlers - adult handicapped league (any combination). Cost is $14 per person per week - three games of bowling each week. Cost covers a large 1-topping pizza and four drink cups per team - shoe rentals included. Don’t have a full team? That’s okay! Armed Forces 5K Run/Walk May 11 • 8 a.m. Come out and represent your branch of service in the 5K which takes place at the Pershing Field near bldg. 3212. Transportation provided for students, volunteers and participants  from the Aquatic Center starting at 7:15 a.m. Meet at Pershing Field no later than 7:30 a.m. This event is no cost and open to all DOD ID cardholders and guests.  Prizes awarded to top male and female competitors. 502d Force Support Squadron Presents R4R Ziplining at Helotes Hill Country Ziplines May 11 • June 8 • July 13 • Aug. 10 • Sep. 14 | 9 AM Participants will have the opportunity to zip over the Texas Hill Country, climb towers 14-45 feet tall and feel the rush of speeds up to 35 miles per hour. Together we'll have an opportunity to see vast aquatic life living in crystal clear waters and learn about the natural lake features formed by the Edwards Aquifer.
