The league plays on Thursdays at 6:15 p.m. from March 21 to May 23. Team must consist of four bowlers - adult handicapped league (any combination). Team Kickball Registration JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Youth Programs May 1 to June 3 Dust off your running shoes and get ready to play Kickball! Kickball is a game that was invented in the United States of America in the early half of the twentieth century. Containing elements of soccer and softball but most of baseball, the object in a kickball match is for one team to score more runs than the other, thus winning the game! Registration is required through CYPBMS by June 1. Current physical and immunization record required. Spaces limited. Kickball season will run June 22 through Aug 3. 3D Archery Shoot at Camp Bullis Outdoor Recreation Center May 4-5 and June 1-2 • 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The 3D Archery Range consists of a course with 30 life-like animal targets such as bears, black panthers, deer, alligators, etc. The targets are set up between 5 & 55 yards at various distances. Traditional (Long Bows and Recurve Bows) and Compound Bows are allowed but no Crossbows. The Camp Bullis ODR has Recurve Bows available to rent for $20 each. 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Theater May 10-26 The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a musical comedy with music and lyrics by William Finn, with a book written by Rachel Sheinkin, conceived by Rebecca Feldman with additional material by Jay Reiss. Army Ten-Miler Qualifier May 19 • 7-10 a.m. The 40th Annual Army Ten-Miler Race Date will be held on October 13, 2024, at the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Participants ages 13 years old and up, are encouraged to maintain a 15-minute-per-mile pace on race day. The qualifier, held by the METC Fitness Center, is open to active-duty military personnel assigned to Fort Sam Houston. It is designed for active-duty military, varsity level athletes who are actively training. The registration fee is $40. Athletes can register at the METC Fitness Center or the Jimmy Brought Fitness Center. Registration deadline is May 1. Each runner will receive a T-shirt and medal. Memorial Day Weekend Bowling Special May 25-26 JBSA-Randolph Bowling Center Come out to the Randolph Bowling Center to celebrate Memorial Day Weekend. The special bowling rate for the entire weekend is (excluding Galactic Bowling) $20 per hour, per person with a $3.50 shoe rental. The Randolph Bowling Center is closed on Memorial Day.

25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Theater May 10-26 The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a musical comedy with music and lyrics by William Finn, with a book written by Rachel Sheinkin, conceived by Rebecca Feldman with additional material by Jay Reiss. The show centers on a fictional spelling bee set in Putnam Valley Middle School. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a fast-paced crowd pleaser and an instant theatre patron favorite. Come join in the fun at the Fort Sam Theatre, building 2270. Reservations are not necessary for DOD ID cardholders. Archery Range Thurs. - Mon. • 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Outdoor Recreation offers an outdoor archery range with targets ranging from 10 to 60 yards at 10-yard intervals. The targets at the range are crossbow rated. A daily pass is $5 The cost for an annual pass is $6 and $75 for a family of two. Each additional family member is $5. A DoD ID cardholder can sponsor up to two non-DoD ID cardholders for $5 per person. The Range at Camp Bullis is 100% ID check. all guests must report to ODR and present a DoD ID card. Trail Rides at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Equestrian Center. By Appointment only/Reservations required. No Experience Required. $30 per person for DoD ID cardholders, ages 7 & older. (Adults must accompany children younger than age 13). Riders must be at least 4 feet, 6 inches tall and weigh no more than 200 pounds All trail rides are guided at a walking pace Check-in at the office at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time Open-toed or dress shoes are not permitted for riding; boots or closed-toed shoes are required; tennis/running shoes may be worn Riding double is not permitted All riding and safety instructions are given before riders depart Trail rides may be terminated if a rider fails to follow trail guide instructions Trail rides will be cancelled for safety reasons to include but not limited to heat or heat index in excess of 100° F, lightening, rain or mud If you would like to set up a weekday trail ride, the cost is $40.
