The league plays on Thursdays at 6:15 p.m. from March 21 to May 23. Team must consist of four bowlers - adult handicapped league (any combination). Pick-A-Pro Tournament April 6 • 8 a.m. to 12:30 tee times Individuals participating in this year’s event will blind draw a PGA Professional that made the cut at the Masters’ Golf Tournament. Format is individual stroke play. Scoring per hole is the combination of the golfer’s score and the Pro’s score. The lowest combined scores are the winners. Entry fee is $25 per person. Kayaking the San Antonio River April 13 • 8:30 AM to 3 PM JBSA-Lackland Outdoor Rec Did you know there's more to the San Antonio River than just the Riverwalk? Join us as we team up with the San Antonio River Authority to kayak and explore the San Antonio River! Whether it's your first-time kayaking, or you're an expert paddler, you will have the opportunity to learn about the environmental, historical and cultural impacts this river has made to Military City, U.S.ATM. Ages eight and older are welcome to participate. Ages 8-11 must ride in a tandem kayak but ages 12 and older can paddle their own craft. There is limited availability of tandem kayaks. The cost of this program is $20, and it includes roundtrip transportation from Lackland Outdoor Recreation, personal flotation devices and kayak equipment. Seeds of Kindness • Celebrating Earth Day April 22 • 4:30-5:30 p.m. Earth Day is a great opportunity to show our appreciation for our planet and take steps to protect it. Roll up your sleeves and get ready to plant “seeds of kindness” in decorated posts. Youth will paint a pot and plant their seeds to share with family and friends to promote kindness. Team Kickball Registration JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Youth Programs May 1 to June 3 Dust off your running shoes and get ready to play Kickball! Kickball is a game that was invented in the United States of America in the early half of the twentieth century. Containing elements of soccer and softball but most of baseball, the object in a kickball match is for one team to score more runs than the other, thus winning the game! 3D Archery Shoot at Camp Bullis Outdoor Recreation Center May 4-5 and June 1-2 • 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The 3D Archery Range consists of a course with 30 life-like animal targets such as bears, black panthers, deer, alligators, etc. The targets are set up between 5 & 55 yards at various distances. Traditional (Long Bows and Recurve Bows) and Compound Bows are allowed but no Crossbows. The Camp Bullis ODR has Recurve Bows available to rent for $20 each. Registration is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and participants may start the course as soon as registered.
