LAK Outdoor Recreation

RECHARGE FOR RESILIENCY Skydiving Sept. 7 | 8 AM Lackland Outdoor Recreation Skydive Spaceland San Marcos * Open to Active Duty Personnel and Active Duty Reservists * Experience SKYDIVING at this R4R RECON funded event. Participants will have the opportunity to jump from 14,000 feet and free fall at 120 mph! Each person will jump and be harnessed to an experienced instructor! The rate is $49 per person. Haunted San Antonio Ghost Tour

Haunted San Antonio Ghost Walk Tour Oct. 19 - 8-9:30 PM Visit any JBSA Information Tickets and Travel office to sign up for this Ghost Walk Tour. Suitable for all ages, children must be accompanied by an adult. The tour includes 1.5 hours of captivating stores and thrilling sights. The cost is $27 for adults and $11 for children ages 3-10.

Becoming Youth of the Year JBSA Youth Programs This prestigious program is designed to inspire and nurture tomorrow's leaders and encourages teenagers who are passionate about leadership, community service, volunteerism, and personal excellence to apply for the chance to become the next JBSA Youth of the Year. Strongest Competition

LAK Warhawk Fitness Center

This Challenge consists of Deadlifts, Farmers carries and sandbag carry-over the bar and tire flips.  Open to ages 18 and older and includes categories for men and women.  The deadline for registration is COB Oct. 4th and the entry fee is $40.  Payment and registration can be made at the Warhawk Fitness Center.  For additional information contact POCs Tayler Harvey at [email protected] or Willie Mastin at [email protected].

The annual Fall Fest is upon us! This family-friendly event is held at the JBSA-Lackland, behind the Gateway Club. Spooktacular Costume Contest

RND Parr Club

The Costume Contest will be onsite at Spooktacular at the Parr Club! Costume judging will take place at 6 PM at the DJ booth, winner announced at 8 PM. Voting Categories Creativity and originality Craftsmanship and use of resources Presentation and autonomy Accuracy and realism There will be three age groups: Infants to 4 years of age, 5-11 years of age and 12-18 years of age. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place for each group.

Customer Appreciation Night

Customer Appreciation Oct. 29 • 5-7 p.m. The Gateway Club hosts an appreciation night in the Fiesta Ballroom with entertainment provided by DJ Tony Style. The price is $14.50 for members and $17.50 for nonmembers. No coupons are accepted for this event. The menu features lobster bisque soup, cranberry walnut salad with balsamic vinaigrette, roast turkey w/champagne mushroom sauce and cranberry chutney, rosemary crusted prime rib w/carver, glazed ham, cornbread dressing, whipped potatoes, yams with marshmallows, broccoli spears w/hollandaise sauce, mixed vegetables, freshly baked yeast rolls, pumpkin pie, pecan pie and red velvet cake.
