Fitness Equipment Orientation Aug. 1-30 • Tues.-Thurs. • 8 a.m. to noon JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Central Post Fitness Center Patrons are invited to come to the Central Post Gym to learn how to use a variety of fitness equipment to help improve cardio, strength and flexibility. Elliptical Mile Challenge (METC)

Elliptical Mile Challenge August • Normal duty hours JBSA-Fort Sam Houston METC Fitness Center METC Fitness Center patrons complete as many miles as they can on an elliptical machine at a minimum resistance level of 5.0. Sign up at the front desk. Place completed miles in the binder at the front desk. The patron with the highest mileage will be awarded a prize. Open to all DoD cardholders ages 18 and older. 502d Force Support Squadron Presents 2024 CENTRAL POST SEPTEMBER EVENTS Tire Flip Competition Sept. 3-30 • Monday-Friday 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. We invite you to come and flip the tire as many times as you can in a two-minute time frame. There will be two categories for men and women. Patrons need to make sure that a staff member is available to verify the amount of tire flips within the two-minute time frame. The man and woman who flips the most will be awarded a prize at the end of the month. Circuit Training Sept. 3-30 • Monday-Friday 6-8 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This circuit training will run for a duration of two hours in the morning or afternoon and is designed to increase cardio endurance and core strength. Tower Climb Challenge

In honor of the first responders who climbed 110 floors on September 11, we invite patrons to try to accomplish the same feat on our stair steppers. The challenge runs all day to allow all patrons to use the stepper equipment. This is held at no cost and is open to all DOD ID cardholders. For more information, call (210) 221-1234.

Family Fun 5k Run/Walk

Family Fun 5k Run/Walk September 14 | 8 a.m. Arrive no later than 7:30a.m. The event begins at Pershing Field's Ball Park Building #3212. Transportation will be provided for students, volunteers and other participants. Pick-up & drop-off at the Fort Sam Houston Aquatic Center starting at 7:15 a.m. Free event is open to all DoD ID cardholders and guests. June Weight Lift Challenge June 15 • 9:30 AM • Free JBSA-Fort Sam Houston METC Fitness Center Men and women attempt to lift 1000 lbs. and 500 lbs., respectively, in a combined bench press, deadlift and squat challenge.
