Teens ages 13-18 at Quiet Valley Ranch. Camp, write, and perform music, beats, and poetry. This event is sponsored; no cost to participants! Maximum number of participants is 24. Space is limited. Register by calling (210) 652-3298 for an application. First come, first served.

Back to School Bash

FSH Salado Creek Park

It's that time of the year, the annual Back to School Bash at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston! This free event has music, food, activities, and FREE SCHOOL SUPPLIES?! Provided for K-8th grades while supplies last! You must bring a DoD ID Card and your child/children. If your child is not available to attend, bring a report card and his/her DoD ID card. Teen Lock In

ALL JBSA youth ages 13-18 are invited to join Youth Programs for a night of fun. The cost for this lock-in is $35 per youth. Transportation will be provided to the lock-in from FSH/RND Youth Programs. Sign up in CYPBMS by Sept. 5 to reserve a slot for a night of fun. Kalahari Water Park Trip

Weekend Camping Trip @ Canyon Lake

Recreation Park @ Canyon Lake

Join us for a family, adventure filled weekend soaking up the sun and fun at JBSA Recreation at Canyon Lake. Participants will check-in to the lake Friday evening from 1-7 p.m. with a check out of Sunday morning by 11 a.m. Campers will be staying in the new bungalows. Saturday will feature fun on the water with three pontoons ready to take families out on the water as well as a scheduled Sunset Cruise that evening. For those not wanting to venture out on the pontoons, there will be paddle equipment on the beach for families to use. As the day winds down, guest will be treated to a spectacular Star Gazing experience of the solar system and beyond through powerful telescopes. For a special treat, guests will join the staff for a scrumptious Dutch oven dessert - sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. This is an R4R event with no cost for active-duty military members and their families only. It is first-come, first serve and limited spaces are available. Family Camp-out

Recreation Park @ Canyon Lake

Family Campout Oct. 14-15 • 9 a.m. on Saturday to noon on Sunday Temperatures have cooled so come out for some great camping with your family at Canyon Lake and participate in group activities supporting science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
