Five-Mile Challenge | April 2-26 Monday - Friday | 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Central Post Fitness Center Patrons can use treadmills, spin bikes or rowing machines to complete this challenge. Each patron is to make sure a staff member records their time and distance. Prizes will be given to the person with the longest distance on each piece of equipment at the end of the month. Monthly Fitness Challenge

Patrons are invited to come out to see who can bench the most weight. There will be categories for men and women but no weight class. Each patron is to make sure a staff member verifies the weight pressed each time. The man and woman who presses the most weight will be awarded a prize at the end of the month. Open to Anyone With Fitness Center Access

The Doe season may have to close early depending on harvest as we only get a certain number of tags from the State. No-Tap Monthly Bowling Tournaments

LAK Skylark Bowling Center

The JBSA-Lackland Skylark Bowling Center has a monthly No-Tap Tournament. There will be a cash prize for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place with brackets and side pots. Babysitting Training

RND Youth Programs

Youth Programs is offering a Red Cross Babysitting Training for Youth ages 11 and older. Training will cover basic care for infants and children, basic first aid, child behavior, age-appropriate activities, emergency protocols, professionalism, and leadership. Fee for this class is $40. Youth Programs October Closures

JBSA Youth Programs

The JBSA Youth Programs at each location are closed on Oct. 1 in order to help make the 2022 Oktoberfest a bigger and better event for all DoD ID cardholders. We encourage all families to come out and participate in this event which includes live music, interactive inflatables,  lots of youth activities, a shopping market, a biergarten and an official tapping of the keg. The JBSA Youth Programs at each location are closed on Oct. 15 in order to help make the 2022 Fall Fest, at the area above the JBSA-Lackland Amphitheater from 9:30 a.m. to 2:20 p.m., a bigger and better event for all DoD ID cardholders.  We encourage all families to come out and participate in this event which includes live music, interactive inflatables,  lots of youth activities, a shopping market, a petting zoo, lots of fire vehicle to include Sparky, a hay maze and free pumpkins (while they last). Three-Minute Indoor Tire Flip Contest

Eligible men and women compete at the JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Central Post Gym to flip the tire the most in a three-minute time limit. Competitors must have a staff member document the amount of times they flip the tire. This is a free event, open to JBSA DOD ID cardholders. Patrons afforded unlimited attempts.
