Patrons have an entire year to complete this self-monitored program during normal operating hours. This program is currently offered at the JBSA-Randolph Rambler Fitness Center. Coaches, gift the love of sports - Mentor a youth today!! Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community while having a blast? Consider becoming a volunteer coach for our youth sports programs! By coaching, you'll not only help shape the athletic skills and teamwork abilities of the next generation but also foster their confidence and love for sports. Imagine the joy of seeing a child’s face light up after scoring a goal or mastering a new skill, all thanks to your guidance. Plus, coaching offers a unique opportunity to bond with your community, develop your leadership skills, and stay active yourself. It’s a rewarding experience where your time and enthusiasm make a tangible difference. Join us and help make a lasting impact on young lives! If you are interested in serving as a volunteer coach, contact your local YP and complete the registration process to be a coach. All potential volunteers must obtain clearance, complete 10 hours of training, and attend two practices/games per week during an eight-week season. 502d Force Support Squadron Presents Central Post 2023 December Events Tire Flip Competition Mon/Wed/Fri | 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. The challenge is to flip the tire as many times as you can in a two-minute time frame. Before each tire flip, a staff member must be present for safety & confirmation of the number of tire flips. This contest will have categories for men and women. The person with the most tire flips at the end of the month will receive a prize. Two Mile Cardio Challenge Monday - Friday | 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. Patrons can use treadmills, spin bikes, ellipticals or rowing machines to test their cardio endurance & to complete this challenge. A staff member must record the time and distance. Prizes will go to the person with the longest distance on each piece of equipment at the end of the month. Events are open to all DOD ID cardholders. Archery Tag

Archery Tag JBSA-Lackland Outdoor Recreation Center 309 Oscar Westover Rd., Bldg. 871 Lackland AFB, TX 78236 Lackland ODR has an Archery Tag, which is similar to paintball, but without the welts and bruises. Archery Tag is the perfect team-on-team competition for your next squadron event. Teams of up to 20 people at a time are invited to experience this exhilarating game located at the Lackland ODR Paintball Course. Payment includes face mask, bow & arrow rental, and two hours of fun! Babysitters Course

Youth Programs is offering a Red Cross Babysitting Training at JBSA Lackland for $40 for youth ages 11+. Training will cover basic care for infants and children, basic first aid, child behavior, age-appropriate activities, emergency protocols, professionalism, and leadership. Indoor Marathon

This is a self-monitored program based on the honor system. Participants attempt to complete 26.2 miles running/walking within one week. Participants may pick up their cards to record their mileage at the front desk. Prizes will be awarded to those that complete the marathon. For more information, call (210) 652-7263.

Joe Hall Memorial Basketball Tournament

Join us at the 48th Annual Joe Hall Varsity Military Basketball Tournament and enjoy some very high-level basketball games. Games will be played at the Warhawk and Chaparral Fitness Centers. If you would like to enter a team it is $400 per team. The tournament is free and open to all DoD ID cardholders.
