Join us at the 48th Annual Joe Hall Varsity Military Basketball Tournament and enjoy some very high-level basketball games. Games will be played at the Warhawk and Chaparral Fitness Centers. JBSA Fort Sam Houston School-Age Care Program is collecting donations from Nov. 1 to Dec. 15. In partnership with Serenity Oak Assisted Living and Memory Care to give back to the community. All donations accepted. Please ensure items are new - no used items will be accepted. License to Carry Handgun classes are held at the Camp Bullis Outdoor Recreation Center (ORC). Students must be age 18 or older to register for the class unless they are active-duty military. You need to be familiar with your firearm; no first-time shooters. Students must also meet federal qualifications to purchase a handgun. The cost of the class is $80. Successful completion of the class is recommended prior to purchasing a handgun. The JBSA-Lackland Gateway Club will be closed November 10-11 (Veterans' Day Weekend), November 23-27 (Thanksgiving Holiday), and December 17 - January 2 (Christmas and New Year's Holiday).
A Day with Santa Dec. 17 • 10 a.m. to noon Santa will be available for photos with the kids and to listen intently to their Christmas wishes from 10-11 a.m. Kiddie Bingo will begin at 11 a.m. and kids 12 and younger can play a total of five games of bingo. This event is open to everyone and is FREE to attend with limited seating. Patrons may start making their reservations on Dec. 5.
