Elliptical Mile Challenge August • Normal duty hours JBSA-Fort Sam Houston METC Fitness Center METC Fitness Center patrons complete as many miles as they can on an elliptical machine at a minimum resistance level of 5.0. Sign up at the front desk. Place completed miles in the binder at the front desk. The patron with the highest mileage will be awarded a prize. Open to all DoD cardholders ages 18 and older. 3D Archery Shoot at Camp Bullis Outdoor Recreation Center July 6-7 & Aug. 3-4 • 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The 3D Archery Range consists of a course with 30 life-like animal targets such as bears, black panthers, deer, alligators, etc. The targets are set up between 5 & 55 yards at various distances. Traditional (Long Bows and Recurve  Bows) and Compound Bows are allowed but no Crossbows. The Camp Bullis ODR has Recurve Bows available to rent for $20 each. Registration is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and participants may start the course as soon as registered. The cost is $10 for E-1 through E-4, active-duty or medically retired., $15 for ages 13 and older and $5 for youth 12 and younger. For more information, call (210) 295-7577 or (210) 295-6529.

502d Force Support Squadron Presents R4R Ziplining at Helotes Hill Country Ziplines May 11 • June 8 • July 13 • Aug. 10 • Sep. 14 | 9 AM Participants will have the opportunity to zip over the Texas Hill Country, climb towers 14-45 feet tall and feel the rush of speeds up to 35 miles per hour.
