Fall Fest Fitness Celebration

RND Heritage Park

FREE EVENT Fall Fitness Celebration Oct. 19 • 7:30 a.m. • Free This Fall Fitness Celebration at Heritage Park is for all ages, including young ones. We will have a 5K run for our runners and a 1.5-mile run/walk for the young athletes and their parents who would like to participate with their kids. We have not forgotten bikers--the 10-mile bike ride will start right after the 5K run. Giveaways are provided while supplies last. Join us to celebrate fall with healthy exercise and fun!

License to Carry Classes

Camp Bullis Outdoor Recreation

License to Carry Handgun classes are held at the Camp Bullis Outdoor Recreation Center (ORC). Students must be age 18 or older to register for the class unless they are active-duty military. You need to be familiar with your firearm; no first-time shooters. Students must also meet federal qualifications to purchase a handgun. The cost of the class is $80. Successful completion of the class is recommended prior to purchasing a handgun. Beyond the Marina Boat Tours

Enjoy a 90-minute chauffeured boat tour around Canyon Lake. Encounter breathtaking scenic views, and discover its history and the town that still resides beneath. 1000-500 lb. Challenge at METC

June Weight Lift Challenge June 15 • 9:30 AM • Free JBSA-Fort Sam Houston METC Fitness Center Men and women attempt to lift 1000 lbs. and 500 lbs., respectively, in a combined bench press, deadlift and squat challenge.
