Teen Open House! Jan. 15 • 5-7 p.m. Hey teens. don't miss out on the free Open House at Youth Programs. This is your chance to discover all the awesome things we have lined up for you. Check out our cool hangout spots, meet new friends, and explore tons of activities that match your interests, from sports and fitness to arts and leadership opportunities. Plus, you'll get to jump into some exciting hands-on activities and challenge your friends in games. It's all about having fun, finding your passion, and seeing what Youth Programs can offer you. Light refreshments will be provided. So, bring your friends, and let's make it a day to remember! Neighborhood Block Party Jan. 25 • 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. You are invited to a free fun-filled party! Come out to see your neighbors and meet new friends. There will be games, activities, light refreshments and door prizes.

JBSA Youth Baseball & T-Ball Registration

JBSA Youth Programs

Hey kids! Are you ready to step up to the plate and hit a home run? Sign up for baseball/t-ball with JBSA Youth Programs and join a team where you'll make friends, learn new skills, and have tons of fun. Whether you're just starting out or already know how to swing a bat, our coaches will help you improve your game while you enjoy exciting practices and thrilling games. You’ll run the bases, catch pop flies, and maybe even slide into home for the winning score! The cost is $70 per youth 5 and older. A current sports physical, immunization record and flu vaccine are required at time of registration. Register in CYPBMS by March 22. Practices begin the week of March 24. Come be part of the action—grab your glove and let's play ball! Fort Sam Houston Independent School District (FSHISD) Board of Trustees Vacancy Jan. 27-Feb. 21 Fort Sam Houston Independent School District (FSHISD) Board of Trustees are now accepting nominations for one vacant seat. FSHISD is seeking a dedicated and community-focused individual to join its Board of Trustees. The positions must be filled by either a military member or DoD civilian living on or employed by Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston. To qualify for the board, a volunteer must: • Be a qualified voter • Take the official oath of office • Serve without compensation Trustee will take an official oath of office and serve without compensation for 2 years. JBSA-Lackland Gateway Club hosts Variety Night as DJ Tony Style plays a wide variety of music from 4-10 p.m. Friday nights in the Lone Star Lounge. Order great food and beverages from the Bar Menu. Spring Break Camp Registration (Pre-teen & Teen)

Do you need quality programming and activities for your pre-teen or teen during Spring Break? JBSA Youth Programs provides high-quality programs supporting engineering concepts, arts, life skills, leadership, cooking, physical fitness, and field trips for youth ages 9-18. Casino Trips

Day Trip to Coushatta Casino Resort, Kinder, LA Jan. 18 Travel: Leaves RAN at 1 pm. Stops in Katy for lunch on own in Katy at Buccees. Arrives in Coushatta at 7p. Leave the casino at 5 am, stop in Katy at Buccees for breakfast on your own, and return to RAN at noon on January 19th. Rate: $130 per person. Day Trip to Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino, Eagle Pass, TX Feb. 08 Travel: Leaves RAN at 7 a.m. and returns at 7:00 p.m. (leaves casino at 4 p.m.) Rate: $60 per person.

Valentine’s 5K Run/Walk

Valentine's 5K RUN/WALK Jan. 18 • 9:30 a.m. Head out to beautiful, serene Canyon Lake for a fun 5K run/walk. Entry for the 5K and entry into the Park are free. American Red Cross Lifeguard Course

502d Force Support Squadron Presents Lifeguard Course JBSA-FSH Aquatic Center   Earn Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR & AED certification during these sessions   This Red Cross class is designed for people interested in being certified as a lifeguard and for employment as a GS-2 lifeguard for the summer of 2025. Participants must be 15 or older to sign up for the course. Participants must: • Swim 150 Meters, tread water for two minutes without use of your arms, followed by a 50-meter swim. (Continuous No Breaks In-between) • Complete a 20-meter Swim, retrieve a 10-pound brick from the bottom of the pool and return to the starting point. Must complete within one minute and 40 seconds   9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All Course Days Are Mandatory For Each Session Session #2 February 1, 2, 8 & 9 Session #3 March 1, 2, 8 & 9 Session #4 March 22, 23, 29 & 30 $180 per person (Card Only) Successful completion of a pretest is required for enrollment.
