Mardi Gras Party Feb. 28 • 4-11 p.m. Celebrate Mardi Gras with us in the Lone Star Lounge and listen to some great music by DJ Tony Style. The food special of the night includes fried fish, jambalaya, hush puppies, coleslaw and corn bread. The cost for the food special is $10 for members or $12 for nonmembers.

Accepted media include oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, mixed media, gouache, egg tempera, pen and ink, charcoal, colored pencil, scratchboard, markers and metal point. (Digital art is not an accepted medium). 3D Art is considered to be three-dimensional such as, sculpture, ceramic, pottery, clay, glass art, metals, jewelry, wood, fiber, and textile. Photography is considered to be the practice of capturing images by exposing light-sensitive film or a digital sensor directly to the scene being photographed. It involves composing a single image in-camera, without significant post-processing or manipulation. Trail Run and Coffee March 8 ● 8-10 a.m. Step into nature with a 3-mile trail run or walk, followed by refreshing, iced coffee. This is a FREE program. Together we will meet at the Urban Ecology Center at Phil Hardberger Park to stretch at 8 am. Boat Driving Course

Recreation Park @ Canyon Lake

Learn how to drive a boat safely at the JBSA Recreation Park @ Canyon Lake Hancock Cove Marina. This two-hour boat driving course covers boat operation, rules of the water and safety guidelines. This course is open to all DOD ID cardholders. The cost for the class is $60 per person and there are limited spots. To reserve your spot, call (830) 964-3576 or email [email protected]. Participants must be 21 years or older and have completed one of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Boater Safety courses.

Spring Kiddie Bingo and Egg Hunt 8 March 2025.| 10 a.m. to noon These two FREE events will be held at the Parr Club and are open to everyone. The Spring Bunny will be available for photo opportunities at 10 a.m. and Kiddie Bingo starts at 10:30 a.m. The children will be able to play five games for a chance to win prizes. Following Bingo will be our Spring Egg Hunt. Don't forget to bring a basket to hold all your goodies. These events are for children ages 12 and younger. Spring Break Jr. School of Golf

March 10-14 | 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. PGA teaching Pro Charles Bishop is conducting a junior golf school from March 10-14. Children ages 8-15 are invited to participate and learn all aspects of the game. Fundamentals such as stance, grip, and posture will be covered as well as the swing, putting, and chipping strokes. There will be two sessions each day, one from 11 a.m. to noon for ages 8-11 and one from 1-2 p.m. for ages 12-15. The fee is only $90 per participant!!
