Recreation Park @ Canyon Lake

Rent a boat five times for a minimum of four hours between May and September and get the sixth boat rental free! Fitness Jump Start

FSH METC Fitness Center

Get a jump start on those fitness goals by participating in the daily fitness challenges. Pick up a tracking card at the METC Fitness Center Front Desk. Each day has a different challenge to complete. Complete a fitness class for two stamps, a 30-minute weight lifting session for one stamp, a 30-minute cardio session for one stamp and a bragging rights challenge for one stamp. Challenge yourself with this free self-monitored fitness program as you kick start a healthier you in the New Year. Patrons have an entire year to complete this self-monitored program during normal operating hours. This program is currently offered at the JBSA-Randolph Rambler Fitness Center. Junior Taste of JBSA

Food | Beverages | Activities All JBSA Youth are invited to come experience a Junior Taste of JBSA with Randolph Youth Programs. Active-Duty Military Golf Clinic

JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Golf course offers active-duty military an opportunity to improve their golf skills. There is no cost to participate so golfers can take full advantage of tips to tweek all facets of their game. Clinics are held the first and third Saturdays of the month. This clinic is available to the first sixteen sign-ups. Register by the Wednesday prior to the desired class date. Warrior Scramble

Every first Friday of the month in 2023 JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Golf Course hosts a golf scramble. The cost for all DOD ID cardholders and golf course members is $35. Cost for nonmembers is $45. The price includes green fee, golf cart and a social with lunch after the round. JBSA Outdoor Recreation

All Outdoor Recreation Centers require a Boaters Safety Course certificate from Texas Parks and Wildlife in order for customers to rent their boats. Online courses can be taken at boaterexam.com, Boat-ed.com, BOATsmartexam.com, BoatUS.org and iLearnToBoat.com. The Kayak and Canoe safety course is required for non-powered boating equipment. Water Safety Instructor Class (Fort Sam)

This class is for people who want to learn how to teach swimming lessons. This Red Cross class is one of the required certifications to be hired as a GS-3 WSI at JBSA Pools. Cost is $180 per person. Participants must be able to swim 25 yards of freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke, elementary backstroke and 20 yards of butterfly at the Level 4 to get in the class.
