Patrons have an entire year to complete this self-monitored program during normal operating hours. This program is currently offered at the JBSA-Randolph Rambler Fitness Center. Warrior Scramble

FSH Golf Course

Every first Friday of the month in 2023 JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Golf Course hosts a golf scramble. The cost for all DOD ID cardholders and golf course members is $35. Cost for nonmembers is $45. The price includes green fee, golf cart and a social with lunch after the round. Boating Safety Classes

JBSA Outdoor Recreation

All Outdoor Recreation Centers require a Boaters Safety Course certificate from Texas Parks and Wildlife in order for customers to rent their boats. Online courses can be taken at boaterexam.com, Boat-ed.com, BOATsmartexam.com, BoatUS.org and iLearnToBoat.com. The Kayak and Canoe safety course is required for non-powered boating equipment. Water Safety Instructor Class (Fort Sam)

FSH Aquatic Centers

This class is for people who want to learn how to teach swimming lessons. This Red Cross class is one of the required certifications to be hired as a GS-3 WSI at JBSA Pools. Cost is $180 per person. Participants must be able to swim 25 yards of freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke, elementary backstroke and 20 yards of butterfly at the Level 4 to get in the class. Spring Break Bowling Special (Lackland)

Camp Bullis Outdoor Recreation

License to Carry License to Carry a Handgun Class (LTC) Jan. 11 & 25 and Feb. 8 & 22 • 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. License to Carry a Handgun classes are held at Camp Bullis Outdoor Recreation. Eligible students must: Be at least 18 years old to register for the class and to apply for the license. Be familiar with their firearm - no first-time shooters. Meet federal qualifications to purchase a handgun. The cost of the class is $80.
