Fitness Challenge METC Fitness Center, Bldg. 1369 May 1-31 Week 1 - Most miles ran/walked Week 2 - Most weight lifted Week 3 - Most completed push-ups Week 4 - Most free throws accomplished in two minutes Free and open to all eligible fitness center patrons. Register at the front desk. After each challenge, place your numbers in the challenge binder at the front desk. Prizes are awarded to the top scores.

Memorial Day Weekend Bowling Special May 25-26 JBSA-Randolph Bowling Center Come out to the Randolph Bowling Center to celebrate Memorial Day Weekend. The special bowling rate for the entire weekend is (excluding Galactic Bowling) $20 per hour, per person with a $3.50 shoe rental. The Randolph Bowling Center is closed on Memorial Day.
License to Carry License to Carry a Handgun Class (LTC) Jan. 11 & 25 and Feb. 8 & 22 • 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. License to Carry a Handgun classes are held at Camp Bullis Outdoor Recreation. Eligible students must: Be at least 18 years old to register for the class and to apply for the license. Be familiar with their firearm - no first-time shooters. Meet federal qualifications to purchase a handgun. The cost of the class is $80. 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Theater May 10-26 The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a musical comedy with music and lyrics by William Finn, with a book written by Rachel Sheinkin, conceived by Rebecca Feldman with additional material by Jay Reiss. The show centers on a fictional spelling bee set in Putnam Valley Middle School. The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a fast-paced crowd pleaser and an instant theatre patron favorite. Come join in the fun at the Fort Sam Theatre, building 2270. Reservations are not necessary for DOD ID cardholders. Civilian reservations must be made no later than Tuesday at 5 p.m. to gain gate access for the weekend shows. Tickets available for purchase one-hour prior to show time. Archery Range Thurs. - Mon. • 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Outdoor Recreation offers an outdoor archery range with targets ranging from 10 to 60 yards at 10-yard intervals. The targets at the range are crossbow rated. A daily pass is $5 The cost for an annual pass is $6 and $75 for a family of two. Each additional family member is $5. A DoD ID cardholder can sponsor up to two non-DoD ID cardholders for $5 per person. The Range at Camp Bullis is 100% ID check. all guests must report to ODR and present a DoD ID card. School-Age Care Summer Camp Registration May 28 to August 23 JBSA School Age Care Programs JBSA offers Summer Camp at three accredited School-Age Care Programs. Patrons not enrolled currently in School-Age Care Programs can request a slot for camp by logging on to Military Child Care.com and selecting the preferred location. Requests will be taken until full. Current enrolled families can contact the facility their child is enrolled in to secure their slots. Fees are based on total family income.
