Red Cross Babysitting Training April 13 • 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Youth Programs is offering Red Cross Babysitting Training at Randolph and Lackland Youth Programs for $40 for youth ages 11 and older. Training will cover basic care for infants and children, basic first aid, child behavior, age-appropriate activities, emergency protocols, professionalism and leadership. Kayaking the San Antonio River April 13 • 8:30 AM to 3 PM JBSA-Lackland Outdoor Rec Did you know there's more to the San Antonio River than just the Riverwalk? Join us as we team up with the San Antonio River Authority to kayak and explore the San Antonio River! Whether it's your first-time kayaking, or you're an expert paddler, you will have the opportunity to learn about the environmental, historical and cultural impacts this river has made to Military City, U.S.ATM. Ages eight and older are welcome to participate. Ages 8-11 must ride in a tandem kayak but ages 12 and older can paddle their own craft. There is limited availability of tandem kayaks. The cost of this program is $20, and it includes roundtrip transportation from Lackland Outdoor Recreation, personal flotation devices and kayak equipment.
