Trail Rides at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Equestrian Center. By Appointment only/Reservations required. No Experience Required. $30 per person for DoD ID cardholders, ages 7 & older. (Adults must accompany children younger than age 13). Riders must be at least 4 feet, 6 inches tall and weigh no more than 200 pounds All trail rides are guided at a walking pace Check-in at the office at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time Open-toed or dress shoes are not permitted for riding; boots or closed-toed shoes are required; tennis/running shoes may be worn Riding double is not permitted All riding and safety instructions are given before riders depart Trail rides may be terminated if a rider fails to follow trail guide instructions Trail rides will be cancelled for safety reasons to include but not limited to heat or heat index in excess of 100° F, lightening, rain or mud If you would like to set up a weekday trail ride, the cost is $40.
